I’m Michael Dolan. Nice to meet via the interwebs. I’m a publicist living in Brooklyn New York who specializes in geek, tech, travel and web pr.

I have a different take on getting the word out about wonderful things than most people do. If you want a traditional publicist I can recommend lots of great people. If you want to try something one of a kind to cut through the noise, we should talk. My PR and marketing ideas have been described as ‘clever’ and ‘lucid’ in publications like Crain’ s New York, Wired, InfoWorld and bub.blicio.us. I have a long record of media placements in newspapers, magazines and blogs like the NY Times, Time Magazine, BoingBoing, Mashable!, LifeHacker, The Boston Globe and the LA Times. You can see more of my recent clips in my Portfolio, and a more extensive list of media placements on the Media Hits page. Events are a fantastic way to get your message across, and I’ve thrown shindigs for people like David LaChapelle and Santiago Calatrava.

I’m equally comfortable spreading your message through bleeding edge tech, social media and the blogosphere, as I am working with traditional print, radio and television outlets. I’d be happy to use use a telegraph if it was the right avenue for the message. I spent a good chunk of PR career working with publicly traded companies, so I also understand budgets, getting bang for your buck, ROI and analytics.

When I’m not out spreading the word I like to keep busy. I’m the volunteer managing editor at Life In A Bungalo, where I write about music and art, and my travel articles and cityscape photos have appeared in fine publications throughout the US. I’m addicted to racing bikes, pizza and collecting old books.

If you have an idea you think the world should know about, please get in touch.
